I attended a concert of the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra on September 29, at Hertz Hall. The performance began at pm and lasted for over an hour. It cost $5 for students to attend. Although the orchestra performed multiple selections, I have chosen to .

When heard in this way, classical music can have a special excitement. Hearing classical music in a concert can leave you feeling refreshed and energized. It can be fun. It can be romantic. It can be spiritual. It can also scare you to death. Classical music concerts can seem like snobby affairs full of foreign terminology and peculiar behavior.

The Music Concert I Attended. The music concert I attended was “UK Jazz Spectacular”. The name itself tells us, it is a Jazz concert. The various artists features in the concert were Miles Osland who played the saxophone, Raliegh Dailey who played the piano and keyboard, Danny Ceclil with the bass and Paul Deatherage playing the percussion.

The grandest musical event in the history of Minneapolis to that date occurred when Arthur Nikisch came in May [12], , with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The concert was given in the University coliseum, and to take care of the crowds the railroads had trains stop at the University station, and street car and horse car service was amplified.

The musicians are warming up, checking over their music, looking at difficult music page turns, and getting settled before the concert begins. Just before the start of the concert, after all of the members of the orchestra are seated, the lights will dim, and the concertmaster will come out to the front of the stage, take a bow, and signal to.

Going to a classical concert is very exciting indeed, but for a first-timer, it can be quite confusing. The ambiance at a classical concert is very different than, let's say, a rock concert. The attire is more formal, the audience is expected to stay quiet during the performance and sudden outbursts of appreciation are generally frowned upon.

Oct 22,  · I feel like these kinds of assignments do a great disservice to potential music lovers. They make music into an "academic project" and not something to really love and enjoy. Shame on this teacher. That being said, I do suggest you do the project, but then please go to a different concert, and just listen with an open mind/ear and enjoy!
